Our mission is to create a transformative experience for both dogs and their owners by providing exceptional dog boarding and training services. We are driven by a deep-rooted passion for animals and a commitment to fostering meaningful connections between humans and their four-legged companions. Our services are designed to prioritize the well-being of dogs through compassionate care and expert training, ensuring a safe and reliable environment.
We aim to bridge the gap in the mental health system by offering a unique outlet for individuals to connect with animals, enhancing the quality of life for both. With a focus on community and trust, we strive to be a pillar of change, advocating for the needs of animals and their humans, and making room for positive change in every interaction. In 2025 we were able to offer two sponsored positions with those within the community to guide and mentor into small business success. Check out our Meet The Team section!

My Story
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always had an exceptional love and connection with animals, particularly dogs and horses. Growing up, I wasn't allowed to have animals. I still remember trips to South Dakota to visit my grandparents and petting their horses in pasture and riding along with my grandpa as he surveyed land, HORSEBACK, how cool! These trips were short but left lasting memories. After many attempts to take home every stray I laid eyes on I eventually convinced my mom to let me own my very own dog (in high school). She was the biggest blessing and life-changing animal in my life. Mattie, my first dog, my best friend, and no one could come between the bond we shared. Since then, I have owned many animals and always will! I find something absolutely beautiful about every single animal I come into contact with. During my life journey I've served in both law enforcement and in the Army, I have experienced life through a multitude of different lenses during these years of services. During this time, I discovered a huge gap in our mental health system and a lack of resources to connect humans to animals. Knowing how vital my connections to animals has been, I couldn't even fathom how many people were missing that connection or outlet in their lives. This realization fueled my passion to make a difference, and I began working and gaining certifications and education in both dogs and horses to become a pillar of change for both my community and animals. Despite my passion and dedication, I found myself held back from a services standpoint with the contracted work in the dog training and boarding world. I knew I had to do more, to truly advocate for both people and their animals. That's why I started I Am K9 & Equine Services LLC—to become the difference. This program is tailored to the needs of animals, their humans, and community. Here at I Am K9 & Equine Services LLC, our promise is that we are committed to 'Making Room for Change.' In that promise my personal goal is offering events to reach into the community and allow a positive outlet for those like me that couldn't own their own pets or can't currently keep them, yet, wants to interact with them!
