Refund and Cancellation Policy

K9 & Equine Services, LLC
Effective Date: 08/01/2025

1. Overview

At K9 & Equine Services, LLC, we are committed to providing the highest level of care and training for your dogs. This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all services offered, including but not limited to dog boarding (kennel services), obedience training, behavior modification, and related programs.

This policy is in accordance with applicable laws in Nebraska and Iowa, including consumer protection statutes and service agreement laws. By booking a service with us, you agree to the terms below.

2. Cancellations and Refunds

2.1 Boarding (Kennel) Services

  • Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the scheduled drop-off time will receive a full refund.

  • Cancellations made between 24–72 hours before the scheduled drop-off are eligible for a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled drop-off, or no-shows, are non-refundable.

  • Early pick-up does not qualify for a refund of unused days unless due to a verified medical or emergency situation (subject to management approval).

2.2 Dog Training Programs

  • Tailored training: Sessions canceled with more than 48 hours’ notice may be rescheduled or refunded. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable unless due to an emergency.

  • No-shows for training appointments are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.

3. Deposits

For some services, a non-refundable deposit may be required to hold your booking. The amount and terms of the deposit will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.

Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstance unless K9 & Equine Services, LLC cancels the service.

4. Illness, Injury, or Behavioral Issues

If your dog becomes ill, injured, or exhibits behavior that makes it unsafe to continue boarding or training:

  • We may suspend or terminate the service at our discretion for the health and safety of your pet, other animals, and staff.

  • Refunds for early termination will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

5. Emergencies or Weather-Related Closures

If services are canceled due to inclement weather, power outage, or natural disaster, we will attempt to reschedule or issue credit for future use. Refunds may be granted at our discretion.

6. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

All refund or cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to: iamk9equine@gmail.com

Please include:

  • Full name

  • Contact information

  • Service booked

  • Date/time of service

  • Reason for cancellation

7. Disputes and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Any disputes regarding refunds or cancellations will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the state where the services were rendered Nebraska or Iowa.
